on this date 57 years ago, the world was given the gift of the greatest voice to ever sing...we were robbed of this gift on february 4, 1983...those of us who know this have no appreciation for the pointless, waste of breath singing contests, such as american idol, because the greatest has come and gone....her voice is heard in my ears nearly every day, to drown out the second-rate products of the current pool of "talent"....our society does not know what talent is, until they have fully familiarized themselves with this voice as "we" have......carpenters fans can and will keep this knowledge alive forever!
