i just 'rediscovered' this gem (which I didn't pay much attention to it before), the melody, lyrics are beyond beauitful!! Great vocal performance by Karen and I would say this is one of the great Richard's production.
Ah, Carpenters from 1970. I've always preferred their early stuff. More raw-like talent, not the more polished (and sometimes subdued) stuff that came later.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, at all!

When I was in high school I was in a madrigal group. Crescent Noon reflected the style of music that we sang. It is amazing how karen's incredible voice could hit those low notes and not waver. I also love the background vocals. Pick out the bass part adn ruhn with it
