One More Year Goes By...

I was in highschool when Karen passed away. I was a teenager and my life revolved around my love for Karen and Richard. I was crushed for months over the fact that she was gone.
But time moves on and so do we. 25 years already!!! And although I am now grown up, and although I do not listen to the Carpenters very often, I still remember the pain and sadness that Karens passing had in my life.
I am glad that she existed, but I sometimes think about all of what she has missed out in the last 25 years... and then I think: she existed! she knew lots of pain and suffering in her short life, and yet she also knew the joys and the happiness!!
Wherever you are Karen, you made a difference in many people s lives and I thank you for that. THANK YOU for your music, for the memories you left us and above all: thank you for being you!
