Your Favorite Track From Lovelines?

Keep the poll out of this one, please! I find that there is more explaining when the poll isn't there.
Lovelines is an album released in 1989 of unreleased tracks. The studio albums stopped with Made In America, but four albums thereafter were released of material not released previously. I am glad that Richard decided to do this and maybe if we are lucky, we will have another album someday, but most signs point to no, unfortunately. Lovelines is one of my latest additions since I got it about two months ago. I regard Carpenters albums better than any other artists albums, so it's a definite favorite, for sure.
My favorite track is You're The One. It's a classic tune, but it has a somber meaning now.

Four? Weren't they Voice of the heart, Lovelines and As time goes by?
I pick Slow dance, love this song, so simple and so good!
Edit: Sure, I forgot An old-fashioned Christmas!

For me it's also 'Slow Dance', I love the old fashioned romantic feel to the music and lyrics.
Very close runner up would be the musically ambitious 'If I Had You'. This is my favourite from the KC album, although I think Richard's treatment of it is waaaaayy better

Jeeze. I LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM MORE THAN ANY OF THE OTHER ONES! It is an absolute classic. I love "Slow Dance" and "Your The One" the best. Classic Carpenters.

THE UNINVITED GUEST
Quite alot of reverb on her voice which I like, and it has a feel of Little Alter Boy, almost hymn-like. Shame about the choir, but this is one where you just about get away with them, perhaps because of the above.

Where Do I Go From Here (I had a wonderfully surreal experience one time while this song was playing...I posted about it somewhere around here in the fall of 2006 I believe.
) and Honolulu City Lights

This beautiful Steve Ferguson ballad was also recorded (sans bridge) by Jennifer Warnes. Our version was recorded in 1977 during the "Passage" sessions. It was a "flip of a coin" that decided whether "You're The One" or "I Just Fall In Love Again" made that album. This song is also featured in "The Karen Carpenter Story". I feel "You're The One" is one of Karen's finest performances.
Ever since I read this I was curious about Jennifer Warnes version, so I'm downloading it right now:

I Love "You're The One", "Where Do I Go From Here?" and "If I Had You".
It's a great album ! I do like "The Uninvited Guest" apart from the keyboards in the middle. They sound terrible !

I do not count the solo record tracks for my vote because it is technically not a carpenters record and it was properly released later. Of the other songs I like them all but will go with the uninvited guest for my favorite track off Lovelines.

My favorite is "If I Had You". If it had been released after Karen finished the solo project I think it would have been a hit.
There is an awesome video of the song on YouTube.
