I got the idea for doing this from another old Carpenters forum. You may remember the old Road Ode forum. The moderator there, Ran, had posted a similar video using the same theme, but his was only half as long, using about 2 minutes of the theme. I used the full theme, and had used many more pictures and videos, till my video was running about two minutes longer than the music. I had to cut out a LOT to get it back down to size to fit the music.

I receive many nice comments on my YouTube videos, and I'm sure of them are from members here, though it appears that in same instances, the names on YouTube don't match the names here on Lead Sister. So in many instances, I don't know which comments come from Lead Sister members.

I don't know how much longer I will be able to keep my internet account open. I've been out of work since last spring, recovering from an illness that nearly put me in the hospital. I had a severe case of bronchitis that nearly developed into pneumonia and I was placed on disability from my job. While I was out of disability, my employer fired me, but didn't notify me about it until a month later. I was still sick, still unable to work, and I could not draw unemployment since they claimed I had "abandoned my job." I've been doing "temp" work since then, but it barely pays enough to cover the bills. It's finally come down to letting some things go, like cable TV and the internet. So until I can find a permanent good-paying job, this may be my last video for awhile. I am working on one more that I will try to upload it before my internet is disconnected.

Damn, Ned, I hope that everything works out well and you return when you are back on your feet. I'm going to miss you around here! You bring alot of knowledge, and have many years of being a fan behind you, so it's really nice to the younger fans that want to learn. I hope that the new job works out and you'll be on "Top Of The World" again. My family is having some troubles too, so I can relate to your problem in a way. When the money isn't flowing in it comes to a point where certain pleasures aren't as important.

Good luck and God bless,
Marty

Georgeous, wonderful, and amazing. You do such fine work on your videos and this was is my favorite!! Ya made me cry and also smile.

I am so sorry for your health/job problems. I can relate somewhat. I have Psoriatic Arthritis and FIbromyalgia. I havent been able to work for some years now and unfortunatley, I didnt work enough over the years to qualify for disability. I will say a special prayer for you!

Ned, in addition to looking for a new employment position, here is another idea to help you out. You have world class talent in producing music videos. Maybe you could open up your own one-man video production company. Start out small producing videos for businesses and individuals, and take it from there. Who knows, it may lead to bigger and better things. You could get a loan from a bank to help you get started. You could show the bank your video portfolio to help you get the loan. Just an idea to help you out.

Very nice video and music going with it. Kinda choked me up that it has to conclude with scenes of a funeral. sad.gif The video shows how wonderful Karen was and the stupid illness that took her. I hope lots of people get to see this video.
