The Carpenters Pool Table

Marty's Photo Marty 03 Oct 2007

Does anyone know if anyone bought it during the sale? The price was $3,000.00.

I wonder why Richard didn't take it with him?

Thanks, Gracias, Grazie,
Marty

If I had the room for that.... I would have bought it for sure. How I would have got it across the country to Connecticut without costing a fortune I dont know. LOL But I never heard who did buy it though. It was for auction so it may have gone higher that the $3,000.

Yeah, I would've sold my soul for it, honestly! biggrin.gif

Well, I'd sell my soul for the house, definitely! Imagine listening to the Carpenters in the home itself. It would be really sad visiting the room where Karen passed, though.

If I could have afforded it, I would have bid on that pool table myself. It's probably a top quality pool table to begin with. Add to that, Karen and Richard probably used the pool table often themselves, along with their celebrity friends. Also, I think I read somewhere that it has the name "Carpenters" engraved on the pool table itself somewhere. Also, it would be a good collectors item as well, being a good quality pool table with its history, it would probably go up in value over time. It would be interesting if a Carpenters fan who lived in the area found out what price it actually sold for. Maybe a lot higher than $3,000.

I would have to have a bodyguard to protect it! I would have loved to get Karen's bed, but I would never sleep on it. I'd sit on it, though. smile.gif
