What Carpenters Vinyls Do You Own?

candace's Photo candace 30 Sep 2007

I've been buying off Ebay some vinyls of Carpenters because I want to hear the original recordings (although I don't have the record player yet). I have Voice of the Heart, A Song For You, Made in America, and I just won Horizon, next up I'll be buying Passage, so what do vinyls do you own of theirs?

I really love what Sailing On The Tide sounds like on Vinyl, this song sounds almost like a more magical version of something that Peter Paul and Mary would have done or something, Karen is great, she could have sang anything, what album is Strength Of A Woman on ? Strength Of A Woman sounds similar to Loretta Lynn's songs, without any twang, that was another powerful performence, that along with Slow Dance, and Those Good Old Dreams, those are my favorite fast songs, I think, if I can ever decide lol

I think my favorite part is " Maybe if you feel like it too, you might like to make the run, sail on over the ocean to my beautiful island in the sun " that's awesome, and her voice is amazing there, I love how her voice soars so high, then she goes so deep effortleslly

I've been wanting to get all of the albums in vinyl, but usually I end up getting something else of the Carpenters instead.

I know what you're saying, Ned. It's great to have more than one of some things. I kick myself for some things that I should've bought but didn't.
