What a great link! Some really interesting women listed there.
I don't really understand the part where they're listed as the greatest in the title and then the bottom of the page includes this statement: "This list is to document the female drummers and their accomplishments. Their placement on the list does not indicate their musical ability or professional standing." Confusing.
But it's great to see Karen right up at the top.

AWESOME!!!! Anyone else here feel totally proud of "Our" Karen??? I know I do!
I think Rich should release a CD/DVD called "Little Drummer Girl: The Best of Karen Carpenter, the drummer who sang." It could have all her best butt-kicking drumming, both from studio albums and concerts, with a few unreleased rareties if they exist (rehearsal recordings? You know they must exist in RC's archives!) 'Ya think??

What that means is that the list is just what it is - a list of the 100 Best Female Drummers. Someone sat down and made up a list of female drummers, adding them to the list as they thought of them. Strangely enough, Louise Mandrell was the first one they thought of. Karen was the fifth one, and so on... It's not a priority list where one female drummer is better than the other.
