Violators were forced to listen to Dolly Parton, Karen Carpenter and Barney songs, according to KCNC-TV.

"Twenty minutes into it and I was trying not to fall asleep," violator Luis Cano said.

During the punishment, violators are not allowed to eat, drink or read.

Somehow even thought it bugs that those people don't know real music with Karen, this just sounds hilarious to me. Especially making them listen to Barney music. laugh.gif

Hey, Nessa, was your name inspired by the musical "Wicked" or is that your real name/nick name?

Oh my lord. ohmy.gif

I recall a news article about half a year ago that reported that Manilow would be broadcast in certain public parks (I think in NY City) to keep the youngsters away. Which seems strange, as a Fanilow, that it would be a deterrant. huh.gif But I get the idea.

I don't like the idea of Karen and Manilow being tossed in the same group as Barney. huh.gif

Oh no, dont punish me with Karen Carpenter PLEASE officer !!! haha smile.gif

I would pretend that I didnt like it, I think yoko ono could be punishment, but Karen ? that makes me mad lol

But I guess I can kind of see that bugging people that dont have as sophisticated of tastes as the Carpenters, I do not see that as punishment lol

Yeah, Karen is a treat. In reality, they are just treating the offenders.

This story reminded me of what happened back in 1989, against Manuel Noriega, they played rock music all around his compound, in order to get him out. laugh.gif

I can see how that would work and maybe get a taste of their own medicine. Why force everyone to listen to your music right? I hate to sit next to a car with their music blasting at ungodly levels. Especially hard rap. *shivers* Why not make them sit down and listen to music completely opposite? Someone that likes hard rap isn't going to truly like to sit down to music like the Carpenters, Manilow, Dolly etc. We like it... most that "enjoy" that other genre won't. It's funny actually. LOL
