Which album do you listen to the least and why??? Is it the choice of songs? Which songs do you like the least??
For myself.....I listen to Passages the least, cos I HATE "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina"...I always skip over that.

Don't Cry For Me Argentina. I detest that Andrew Lloyd Webber ditty onto and into perpetuity, but when Karen sang it, I totally got it.
It highlighted for me a person's ability to put a song over. Another example would be the Hammerstein/Kern classic Ol Man River from Showboat. I honestly can't bear it, then I heared a version by Brian Wilson, I loved what he did with it, and played it endlessly
I think it would be fair to say Passage is the album I listen to least also...

I guess that album is "Offering". It sounds kinda "religious" even though its not.
I never liked religious sounding music. I do like some songs on the album, but I rarely listen to this one regular because its a very different Carpenters sound compared to the others.
I don't like the song "Eve" much.

Good question Cheryl...... I would have to say "Made in America"...... just seemed to revert back to the ballads and just not my favorite album

Yes, "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing" is quite the hymn, isn't it?

I would answer the question (it's a good one, Cheryl), except I haven't listened to all of the Carpenters albums yet.

Least favorite? Some of you may throw tomatoes at me, but I'd have to say "Made in America." To me, it was just sort of an anemic album. I don't fault any weakness in Karen's voice, though - I just think the song selctions weren't so strong. If you listen to "When It's Gone", you can tell that Karen DID still have the strength and power of her "basement" voice - but most of the other songs didn't let her loose to get down there. And as much as I like songs like Beechwood and Back in My Life, I just felt they were rather formulaic - and just not good showcases for the phenonemal talents of these two musicians. I much prefer some of the other tracks that were there-to-fore unreleased at the time, like "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again" and "You're the One" and "Look to Your Dreams."
Okay, bring on the tomatoes...

The two albums I play the least are Ticket To Ride and Passage.
The ones I play the most are Horizon, Voice of the Heart, and Lovelines, As Time Goes By - in that order...
The next most frequently played albums are Song for You, Made In America, A Kind of Hush - in that order.
Last comes Close To You and Carpenters - in that order...
... and I play the Christmas albums around Christmas time

This post makes my eyes bleed.
There isn't a Carpenters album that I dislike, they all have their own special unique qualities. I will say that I prefer post N&T albums the best, though.

Interesting, choices, everyone.
Karly!!!! You haven't listened to them all yet???
Shame, shame....go sit in the chair.
My second least favorite is "Voice Of The Heart".....just not a happy album, although Karen's vocals are beautiful...there are too many "draggy" songs on it.
