01. My grandpa believe that he had heared the Carpenters covered "Killing me softly with his song" before 1975. Is it true ?
02. In the past time he had a greatest collection of Carpenters, but after moving and clean up the house we have lost ALL of those ! So now I want to collect them again ! Anybody help me ? (Better is free)

As I know, they never covered this song, sometimes when you look for carpenters music on the web this song appears and if you download it you'll see that it's actually Roberta Flack the one who is singing, it's just a mistake I think..

They never recorded the song. It's on an interview on the radio...and Karen and Richard both wish they had recorded it. But as they say, they weren't on the plane that Roberta Flack was on, when she heard it first. So Roberta recorded it and it was a killer smash hit.

Free is good, but not always available.
Check on You tube for videos. Perhaps do a search on the internet for free music downloads. Also some freebies posted here on Leadsister...just check out the topics. Cheryl
