Did The Carpenters do any charity work during their busy schedule? I am just curious cause I am sure they weren't poor so they must have donated some of their fortune to charities. I assume anyway. I never heard of them giving anything. But what do I know I wasn't around in the 70s to know.

I know that the proceeds from their concert programs went to the American Cancer Society.

The entire group formed a baseball team and raised money for charity. Karen was involved in an organization but I can't recall what for. And around Christmas time they would sometimes put on a free concert for anyone who showed up with a toy donation.

REALLY? Wow, that's good! Now, I miss Karen even more...she was such a nice, giving soul. That's AWESOME! Is Richard still evolved with charity...I am sure he must be. He must be. There's no way he could stop giving. But wow I am surprised I thought they'd be too busy to give...but through their busy schedule they found a way to give back...what a great Duo they were. I sure Richard still gives in his sister name...wait no he didn't. Was he aloud.
That strikes up another question...What happened to Karen's money after her death? Or what happens to anyones money after they die?
