NedNickerson's Photo NedNickerson 21 Aug 2007

I was curious about some of the musicians who played on various Carpenter albums, what they looked liked, a little about their lives and careers as studio musicians, etc...

I found a few...

Can you add others?

The one person I've always been curious about is Gayle Levant who played harp. I've not been able to find out anything about her, other than the fact that she performed on countless albums for various artists...

Great topic!!
I've been trying to read up on some of the Carpenters band mates and their studio musicians lately. Your timing is impeccable.

Thanks for the links. biggrin.gif

HORIZON
Jim Gordon and Karen Carpenter both played drums on Horizon. I do know that Jim Gordon did that wonderful drumming on Only Yesterday. Karen performed on Please, Mr. Postman and Happy. I'll have to get back to you on who played on the rest of the songs.
