Is a love song

My best friend doesn't like my music and I don't like hers. She will not appreciate what The Carpenters did. I tried to appreciate her music.
She is into music and never heard of The Carpenters till I brought them up...that seems strange to me...it seemed strange to her also.
To me her music all sounds the same...to her The Carpenters songs all sounds the same. But until I/her actually listens to the music we'll slowly realize that all the songs are very different.
She says that The Carpenters were 1970s Hollywood trash who had all their songs written for them and once they got famous they lost all their morals and everything was done for them...she went on saying things like that. I disagree with her completely (obviously)...not all famous people give up on their music and not give a crap...look at Barry Manilow or Barry White. I can't believe that some people will not give The Carpenters a chance! Just because Karen had Anorexia doesn't mean she was a bad role model. She was Americas sweetheart all the way until her death.
My friend won't agree with me that Karen was the one who brought awareness about Anorexia. She thinks it was "Twiggy" who did it. But I disagree.
Twiggy started Anorexia, but Karen stopped it.
There are so many things here that ought to bring up a lot of discussion...I hope anyway.

Hehe, I think you can't convince every single person in this world and change their ideas about any thing, we all are different and we gotta respect different point of views...
Nevertheless, I am sure your friend knows that Karen was talented, maybe she's just too ashamed to say it
you just enjoy your music,as long as it works for you and...believe me, I have friends like that too, especially one, who always said that she'd never listen to that VEEERY OOOLD stuff and now she's always singing Close to You in every single place

Well, my friend used to like old stuff...but her other friend converted her into liking "today's" music. I am still shocked that she never heard of The Carpenters.
Yah, I think I need to remember that I need to respect people for their own opinions and likings. Sometimes we forget those little things that we've always been taught since we were little. You know how that is.

Yup, you can't go wrong with "The Golden Rule"
I try to treat others a way I would want to be treated. If everybody did that, wouldn't it be great?

Wouldn't it though. How lovely...just the thought of people being smart and respectful and nice. Wow.
