Christmas In August?

Okay, it seems like I do this earlier and earlier every year: I already broke out my "Christmas Collection" CD's and have been rocking out to them in the car on the way to work. Man, with that voice, Karen could make everyday Christmas!!
Of course, people in the cars next to me give me some strange looks at the red lights...
When do y'all usually bust out your Carpenters Christmas stuff?

As late as November, or very late October, I don't usually listen to Christmas music untill the tree is out, I don't listen to Christmas music before that because, if I do, I almost immediately decorate the Christmas tree, regardless of what time of the year it is lol

For me, the first week of December is just right. And I watch the Christmas specials while I decorate.
I think Karly needs to put her comments on this thread.

Usually the middle of November, but once I played "Christmas Portrait" in July... just as an experiment, to see if it would make me feel cooler on a hot summer day.
It didn't!

I usually love it the most around the tail end of October to the end of Christmas. But it really creates the finish to the atmosphere once I get some decoations up and perhaps add some scents of the season through candles or baking in December.
Sometimes I'll listen to a single Christmas song (like Christ is Born) by the Carps in the year just for a change of pace and the fact that Karen was PERFECT in singing it, or when I want a mood uplift trying to get a Christmas feeling.
I'm still looking forward to autumn coming. The start of Autumn to Christmas is my "feeling alive!" era, and the Carp's Christmas albums really add to the slow build up of the Holidays.
