Gotta love her phrases! I liked it when she said "Dug it". She says everything so well. I could listen to her talk for hours!

Marty,
I don't ever remember ever saying the word "Thusly".
In the early 70's she used to say... "Yeah", "Yeah man" and "Groovy" a lot too.

Did my "First of All" thread inspire you to create this thread? If it did...

I, personally, cannot recall her saying "Thusly". I may have heard her say it, but I cannot recall it at the moment. She had a "cool" vocabulary, though. Well, she was a cool person!

Cool vocabulary...hey that gives me an idea...someone on this forum should publish a Karen Carpenter dictionary. Filled with Karen quotes and words. That would be sweet!
! Just thinking about the possibility of that being a real item makes me all excited! I tell you I'd buy it for sure, and I'd use those quotes and words! I tell yah somebody here would be very rich!

"Thusly" showed up in the 1981 Ray Moore interview a couple times, and in a few other audio interviews over the years. And, I thought of one more, that began a LOT of her sentences: "Luckily!" She was a big fan of adverbs.

Which interview is the Ray Moore one? I don't think I've ever heard that one
