I started listening to the Carpenters when I was 5 or 6(1997 or 1998). I don't remember who bought it for me but somehow I got a tape of Love Songs. I only really listened to songs like Close To You and We've Only Just Begun but I loved it. I also bought The Singles 1969-1973 CD around that time. Then when I was about 7, I began listening to things like Britney Spears, NSYNC, and the Backstreet Boys. At this point, I sort of forgot about the Carpenters for a while and continued listening to whatever was popular at the time. Then about 6 or so months ago I was bored and going through my cds and put on The Singles. I immediately realized that this music was so much better that what I was listening to. I started getting more and more from iTunes and I bought Carpenters Gold. Carpenters is basically all I listen to anymore and I have approximately 160 Carpenters/Karen Carpenter songs on my iPod.

Wow...that's so cool for someone your age, Allison.
