I know I had this on VHS. I could have sworn I had it on DVD. But I guess not. My hubby found it at the store and picked it up for me. I sitll havent opened it b/c I cant shake the feeling I have it. lol Am I losing my mind here.. maybe I have a 25th anniversary DVD? I cant believe my mind is this out of it that I cant get the dvd's straight.
But I noticed on this one a quote from Richard dated June 2003. It's says:
So is the outtake new? Am I confusing myself here with DVD's? I should just open the thing and watch it. lol But I know I have all these songs.

I'm sorry but I don't have the "Interpretations".
Which case do you have, Amaray Case or Jewel Case? If you have Jewel Case, would you please tell me how is like?
I also read Richard's words on the website. And they said that the words were from the back cover. But I think that Richard wrote it
in 1994 or 1995(when VHS tape and Japanese Laserdisc of "Interpretations"were released) and there is nothing new.
There are a few topics about the DVD on A&M Corner(around page1 to page4). Harry wrote about sound of "Interpretations", too.

Hi Sakura... thanks for the info. I stopped by A&M forums to read a bit on it. I think I have the 25th anniversary DVD....not this one. The DVD is in a regular case.... the usual long DVD...not like a CD. Not sure what a Amaray Case is and I'm assuming Jewel case is the CD case right?
So I guess I'll just open it and watch it.

Pam,
Isn't that the DVD that was released on July 29, 2003? I ordered it along with the "Carpenters Perform Carpenters" CD. The cover of "Interpretations" looks the same as another DVD I have - I think "Reflections"? I'm not sure either!
There's too much out there - I can't keep them all straight!

Pamela,
Thanks for your message.
I'm not certain, but I think that "Interpretations Region 1" was released this July for the first time. It contains 11 songs.
-"Interpretations" DVD-
Region 2(ASIN: B00005R0RS) has 13 songs which contains "Ticket To Ride" and "Please Mr. Postman".
(2001/11/21)
Re-Issue (Low Price Regions 2) was released this February but it is out of print.
I also heard that the sound of Region Free which was released before this July was not so good.
I went amazon.jp and found that Amaray Case Rmst. Import Region Free 2003/07/29. Where did it come from? USA? ( I went there this summer they said that they have 4: 2 kinds of Regions 2 and 2 kinds of Regions 1.)
I wonder if this Region Free sounds good.
ASIN numbers of this and Amaray Case Region 1 (which I saw there this July) was the same.
-Case-
Amaray is the name of the originator of DVD cases.
"Interpretations" is listed both in the amaray case and jewel case.
-Gold-
"Gold " was first available alone in the amaray case. Then later on they released a CD/DVD package that came bundled in jewel cases.
According HMV.jp. Carpenters Gold - Deluxe Sound & Vision (Re-Issue) will be released on December 3rd.

Hi, dears!
I have always thought the DVD content was exactly the same like the VHS tape.
INTERPRETATIONS was released over here in Brazil as a newsstand product. It says on it "dolby digital sound 5.1" or something like that (I don't really care about this). The cover is the same from the CD, but the case is the usual DVD one. Contains TICKET TO RIDE and PLEASE MR. POSTMAN... I guess it is region 4.
And I love it, of course!
