Many of you have visited California to seek locations associated with the Carpenters.
Has anyone located or visited the former home of KAREN and TOM BURRIS in Beverly Hills?
It is the home they were living in right after they got married in 1980. Karen hosted Thanksgiving holiday for the Carpenter & Burris families that year at their Beverly Hills home.
They also had a home in Mexico.

Hmmm- no one replied to my posting , so I did some digging of my own.

Tom Burris (Karen's ex-husband) is now 66 years old. He is has/had properties in the following cities, which
may be either residential or business:

-Newport Beach, CA (main residence)
-Santa Ana, CA
-Santa Rosa, CA
-Anaheim, CA
-Tucson, Arizona

I'm not sure if anyone even knows. I've never heard of their residence location. I've wondered where it was.

....in the Coleman book, it was the house mentioned that got robbed/broken into --and Karen refused to stay there anymore.
Just wondered if they sold it or what. Sure would like to see a photo of it (ahem, you Californians) :rolleyes:

I have no idea where it is! Give me an address and you'll get that photo.

Might there be a property dealer or realtor in Newport Beach that can help with that? Or is there a website which shows details of all property bought and sold in that time period? Just a couple of ideas...

I'm thinking that one of the old news reports I read said it was in BEL AIR, CA - instead of Beverly Hills.
Karen mentioned on Merv Griffin that 'Libby' (Olivia) wanted them to move closer to Newport Beach.
