I have a question on how to add pictures to your posts. I clicked on the image and it wants the url but the pics are on my desktop. Would someone mind explaining to me how to do this. Sorry but I am computer illiterate. Thanks in advance.


Next issue, I am sometimes replying to a post or clicking on the link to the posts and I sometimes get and error saying you are not allowed access or you need to login. I am logged in when I try to get to the links but sometimes it wants me to login again. I got frustrated today when I typed a big post and then hit the post button and then I got that message and my post disappeared and I didnt feel like typing it again. Any ideas as to why this occurs? Any and all help would be appreciated.

About posting pictures, you need to make an account with a photo hosting site like Photobucket (it's free). You upload your pictures from you computer onto photobucket and it will give you a URL in order to post your pictures on here.

I have no idea what you're talking about in your second question so I don't have an answer.

The second issue occurs on my posts. It occured several times yesterday. It has occured before, but after upgrade I often see this.
When I write long post, I copy the message before I confirm the post. So I just log in again and paste it.

Boo answered your question regarding posting photos here. Photobucket.com is a great option.

I'm not sure why you are getting the error or what is happening. I haven't received an error like that so it's hard to figure out what's going on. Sometimes with new upgrades, there are little bugs here and there that the forum creators need to work out. This upgrade was a big one so maybe there are some issues. They have to be worked out by Invision. Screenshots are always helpful b/c I can see what you're seeing.

Like Sakura mentioned.... always copy your post, especially long ones... just in case something happens. I always copy by posts b/c things happen and I hate retyping.

Thanks for the help you guys. I sometimes feel really stupid asking questions about how to do things related to the computer but ya all are always so kind with my questions. I will be sure to copy all posts before I hit add reply. It's a good thing I posted as I wouldn't have thought about that myself (told ya I am computer illiterate).

I have had several problems with the forum in the past, but have found that they're actually problems with the computer I'm using, not the forum itself.

Photobucket is really easy to use, even I could figure it out.
