Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys own any of the Carpenters television specials? Their not the easiest to get a hold of. I do have the Carpenters First Television Special and Music, Music, Music, but only because i downloaded them illegally
And yes, i know that's not right, but it's not my fault Richard won't release them. What's a fan to do?

RC really needs to release these. All kinds of classic variety shows from that era have already been released without issue. With all the compilations the past 25 or more years, you know the funding for such a project is there. But oh yes, I do have them all, through similar means

I have seen all of their specials and I know I have MMM. Not sure about the others.
I forgot, I also have both Xmas specials, but I've only watched one. REALLY BAD QUALITY.

Yeah, me. I've seen all the specials, but the ones that i don't have are REALLY REALLY bad quality, might as well not watch it and just listen.

I use eMule, that's the best place to find some rare and old movies and such.

I've only seen parts of them on YouTube. I wish Richard would release them, but don't hold much hope. Then again he always said he wasn't going to release Karen's solo album and eventually did, so you never know.

It would cost a fortune in legal costs to get permission to release them because of the other celebrities who appear in them. I thought just about everyone here had all the specials. I got them all on dvd. My Music Music Music is excellent quality, others are just ok.

I have all of them I believe. I would have to go back through all my DVD's to verify but I believe I do. I also think one is not the best quality. I got them through Ebay.

I used to have WinMX, and it worked really well for awhile...then it started crashing the system. Got so bad that if I opened the program, the entire computer would freeze!
I have all the Carps specials too, I think...bootlegs off of ebay

You can watch ALL of MMM, Space Encounters, Carpenters at Christmas and I think Very First Special on youtube right now. They're bad quality but still great to see if you haven't seen them before, like me.
You can save files from youtube to your computer if you have the right program.
