hey everyone! Now a subject everyone can answer.. sorr i stumped everyone with the last few! hehe ANyways, I was thinking since there are very few Carpenters music videos, well true music videos, not just performances videotaped, I was wondering if you all have Favorite Carpenters song that you would like as music videos.., and what would be going on in the video? Heres my selection and as an example..
TRYING TO GET THE FEELING AGAIN- Karen is in a darkened bedroom. she is in a thinking pose..she holds his mans picture in her hands. and she kisses the picture.. then the scene goes back to Karen singing to her man at an equsitive dinner..and how it goes horrible and she storms out. and the video will show happy times..and karen smiling sadly..at the end of the video, it shows Karen still thinking of her man and shows scenes of them making love, then it shows them getting in a fight. at the end Karen sighs and seems to say oh well
NOW-- Karen and Richard are with their loves.. and Karen is holding and comforting her man while its raining out..Richard is doing the same for his love. then they come out of their house and the sun is out..and all is happy.. they are in a beautiful Garden with birds chirping..(Kinda similiar to the music video "Only yesterday) Karen and Richard are walking side by side with their loves..at the end of the video they both kiss.
Rainbow Connection-- Karen and Richard are on stage with who else, the Muppets! they dance and sing together. Kermit Kisses Karen, and Miss Piggy ios filled with rage and chases him! and it goes to showing heart shaped ballons falling in the air.. everyone is happy. Richard then Kisses Miss Piggy and she seems to blush. at the end of the song Kermit sings "someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection, the lovers the dreamers and Me...
That was My take on Imagining what their music videos would involve.. Id love for you to all share yours!

I think the following:
"(...) Goodbye and I Love You" -
would be set on a beach. I have a mix that has the noise of the beach and I love it. It would be beaufitul. Karen would be sitting on the beach at sunset singing and other scenes would show Karen and an actor portraying her lover.
"The Uninvited Guest" - I think, also, would be on the beach but in a beach house, with special effects to make there be a ghost!
"Jambalaya" would be in New Orelans with the WHOLE Carpenters band!
I'll be thinking of more! This puts me in a good mood!

This is a very good topic! right now I have headache so I just can think in one of my very favorite songs! Honolulu city lights
Let's see..First is Karen in a plane looking to the city she's leaving...then she starts to remember all the things that she lived on that city....she's walking in the beach watching everything....watching every person there...with sadness in her eyes...then she's again in the plane, maybe the video would be cool with some scenes in black and white, I don't know, actually my head isn't with me, my teacher of math took my brain today and she didn't return it!
