Hey Fellow Carpenters Fans.. I was just wondering if anyone heard how Richard's children are doing? Are the oldest ones in music? can the oldest ones sing? cause the oldest one.. Kristi i think is about 16.. and roughly the same age as when Karen could sing. i believe music talents are hereidary.. I believe Richard once said in an interview that "Mom had a marvelous voice" If im not mistaken she apears on the unreleased song Play us a simple melody.. with Agnes, Richard, Karen and Harold? can anyone tell me if other wise.. I just love more of the Carpenters family sound.. I wwould love to have richard release like a childrens music album with his own children singing! itd be so cool.. and hed be doing backing vocals! Imagine that! well if anyone seen clips with his children singing lemme know.. I know i seen on VH1.. the behind the music.. but she didnt sound very well.. but let her get older.. Im sure maybe Richard is pushing them in the music direction and bring it out of them, like he did Karen. Just anyone interested in Richatd doing music with his children.. Lemme know! again i think the childrens album would be excellant.. Picture this! Having his children sing to Karens vocals.. and make it a duet.. OR have his children sing "SING" Thanks everyone.. Id love to hear everyones comments and regards

That is a very good topic. My hat's off to you for this one. 
I saw a TV interview or something a few years ago and Richard was teaching one of his daughters to play the piano. I believe he was also singing "Top of the World" or some such song with the kids as well. Does anyone else here remember that?

Richard Has Performed Several Times with Children -Most Recently With Colin Paul (Now Aged 9 ....) at March 1st TOTW Benefit 
Despite Colin Paul's Confident and Good Vocal on the Night ....Richard Laughed and Smiled When Asked Whether Colin Paul Would Sing Child's Lyrical Version of All I Want Is You on Planned Solo Christmas Album ....And Then Shook His Head .....Not Likely This Time Around -Will be Interesting to See Which Vocalist Takes on This Song ......?
Richard Will Probably Wait Several More Years Until Children are Older and Actually Want to Perform / Record Songs -There Will be No Parental Pressure -Very Wise as MOST Child Stars / Singers Endure Sad , Lonely and Chaotic Lives
At Some Point Richard Will Consider Recording a Children's Album With Some Great New Capenter / Bettis and Other Writers Songs ....Will Have to Wait to See If Colin Paul and His Sisters Record with Richard ?
