Hi there
Both of these songs are included on the double CD 'Live In Japan' (disc 2) - they were part of the oldies medley that the group were performing at the time, but it's NOT the same medley that appeared on the Now and Then album from the year before.
Regards
Stephen

Actually... that song Daddy's home annoys me. lol It sounds like it's being sung through the nose. But I dont believe it's Richard singing lead on that one. It's the guest singer, which I find annoying in all his songs. lol I know Richard and Karen are singing backup...but mainly it's the guest singer. Whose name escapes me.

Pamela, I couldn't agree with you more about that "guest singer". Wonder what they were thinking? You suppose Richard and Karen owed him a favor?
Whenever Daddy's Home comes on...and Runaway...(and I don't care much for that Little Honda song either)...I turn down the volume until Leader of the Pack...I do like Karen's background vocals In The Still of The Night....Whenever I make music for my friends...I ALWAYS cut that "oldies guest singer" out

I think the guest singer was Pete Henderson. Pete sang "Daddy's Home"? I
have "Live In Japan" LP but I have not heard "Daddy's Home" for a long time.
I have thought that "Daddy's Home" was sung to original song, was original
sung through the nose?
Pete joined Carpenters tour in Japan (1974) at Osaka. He sang on "Live In
Japan" CD. But he didn't sing on "Live at Budokan" DVD. At Budokan Doug sang
"Johnny B. Goode", I think that Karen & Richard sung other songs. I love to
watch Karen sing and play the drums. I hope "Live at Budokan" DVD and other
live DVD's or CD's will be released all over the world.
As for "Little Honda", I had thought Richard & Karen performed for Japanese
fans. But I know that they sang it in US tour, too.
I also read that Pete was guest at 1972 live on RollingStone.com. He might
sing another song. But RollingStone has said that 'We're sorry. This content
is not available right now. Please check again later.' I cannot read the
review now.
I thought that Pete performed funny character or someone like clown for fans
to enjoy the concert. Manager, S.B.(I don't know how to spell) or someone
might think that they should have guests for fans to enjoy in early years or
in the countries where people don't understand English. Karen learned
Japanese in 1974 and sang "Sing" in Japanese and learned more Japanese in
1976 to communicate with fans. We don't understand English well. So there
are lyrics in Japanese LP's and CD's.

I agree with you, renata! Karen's voice is the best!!
I was very glad that one of this forum members kindly sent "Silly Love Songs" to me.
I had known that Karen sang it but I never knew how I could get it.
What a big surprise she sent it to me!
Who sang it with Karen? Toni & who?
I have read somewhere on the web that Karen & Richard sang background on Paul's song. Was it true?
I sometimes read that Paul wanted Tony to be a memeber of Wings.
I read "we've only just begun" in Paul's "Hi Hi Hi" on the topic "McCartney
small tribute to Carpenters?" on Carpenters Online forum.
http://www.carponline.bravepages.com/
You can see the picture of Richard's 32nd birthday which Peter posted to Calendar Events.
Scroll down on top page, please.
I knew Paul sang 'And love is fine for all we know' on "Listen To What The Man Said".
I was glad that I could hear it for the first time. "Paul sings as Karen sings!"
I have thought that you use usually 'for all we know' for 'love grows'.
