I say... I think I'm in love with Karen Carpenter. 
Her voice is so wonderful, and when Richard and Karen overdub their music, it's just a great feeling to hear 10 Karens and 10 Richards singing a harmonious chord. How talented she was; to play the drums AND sing at the same time. Music artists nowadays have not even a millionth of a talent of Karen Carpenter, yet they're the successful "big guys" in the music industry. It's about time another Karen Carpenter and Richard Carpenter arrive on the scene, with a lot of talent, and to blow away the world with the music it once knew. Oh, Karen... only if you hadn't died, you'd be ashamed of the path the world is going on. Oh, the pity... oh, the shame. We need someone to sing "Yesterday Once More" again, and just tell us that everything will be all right.

I LOVE YOU KAREN CARPENTER!!! I also love the harmonies and melodies of their songs. Just listening to them puts one in a happy place and gives ya what I like to call "that warm and fussy feeling". They are by far the best musical group of all time.
I dont think there will/could ever be another "Karen Carpenter". Karen was a "one of a kind" and to me nobody could ever come close to being "another Karen".

In the days gone by in my reawakening to the Carpenters music and rediscovering Karen and all her outstanding musical talents I really don't think anyone can top her, past or present. And in the earlier days when she was healthy and seemingly happy she really was the Cat's Meow in the pop-rock music world.
