According to Yuka's message to mailing list, Richard is seeming to do guest
participation at the album Kazuo Zaitsu's "Zaitsu Songs" put on the market
in October.

Richard Carpenter has created a full acapella arrangement of "When I
Dream" - with Pamela's English lyrics to stellar Japanese songwriter Kazuo
Zaitsu's haunting music; the project is currently in the studio.

Here is Richard's remark about "Zaitsu Songs-A Cappella".

Contributing to this CD has been a rewarding experience for me,
as a number of years have elapsed since I have written an a cappella chart.
To be asked to arrange Kazuo Zaitsu's beautiful "When I Dream"
made the experience more enjoyable.

I found Richard's words above on another website article,
but they are in Japanese. I am going to quote from the article.

Zaitsu asked Richard for arrangement for a song on Zaitsu's A Cappella album.
Richard consented it readily. Zaitsu sent some songs to Richard.
Richard chose "I Dream"(1984, Tulip. Zaitsu-a member of the band"Tulip").

The Richard version is the music that Carpenters melody which wraps in all
matched Zaitsu's gentle vooice to emphasized further by a cappella.
The merit of both Tulip and Carpenters is condensed.

That Richard deals with a Japanese artist's musical piece follows
Akiko Kobayashi (44), Seiko Matsuda (41), and it is the 3rd person. a male
singer- for the first time.

Sorry I couldn't translate the article into English well. I hope you will
