So, I was helping our drum major find a score today, and I found The Carpenters! It's a medley with an intro [that doesn't appear to be an actual song], We've Only Just Begun, Rainy Days and Mondays, and Close to You. I assume it was written and performed at my school in the 70s, considering all of those are from 71 or prior.


I want to play it so freaking badly. I copied the flute part and I'm going to play it at home on my own [duh] but it'd be so cool if we played it as a band. My band director would probably laugh at me if I asked her though. Haha.


So I just had to share my excitement.

GO FOR IT JAZZA!! just explain that a lot of the kid's parents might relate to the music....i dunno, make up some lame story jsut to get to play it with everyone in the band.

So the flute part is weird, especially for Rainy Days and Mondays. I should try to get the picc part sometime, but I didn't want go copy it today because I thought it was the same. I think it might have a feature on Close to You. I want a solo flute Carpenters medley, but I'm too lazy to do one myself. Lol.

This is so cool, Jazza! I've tried playing Carps songs on the piano, but it's hard.
