I love the page. biggrin.gif Mark Lindsay was lucky person who worked with Karen in early years, saw Karen sing, playing the drums.

Around I read

"if you never heard Karen in person, you never really heard Karen",

I also read
"If you've never heard Barry Manilow live, you've never heard Barry Manilow". ohmy.gif laugh.gif tongue.gif

I don't read his other pages today, when I saw his DVD page before, I wished he he could help us to release Make Your Own Kind Of Music. headphones.gif rolleyes.gif

Other pages that I found and made me happy were:
Superstar article page
article about Mr. Pooler, last Christmas
article about Doug Strawn and Carpenters
Ron Dante's comment about Karen
Mary Dawson interview with Richard and Paul Williams
BBC article, Karen as a drummer....

As great as The Carpenters sound on records, if you never heard Karen in person, you never really heard Karen.

I've quoted this comment before, but this still blows my mind. I'd give anything to have been in his position. I'd still love to have gone and heard an actual concert when they were at their peak, I have a suspicion that, given his drive for perfection, the sound of the live band being as tight as it is, and them singing all those harmonies, would be mind-blowing.

This isn't a new article, right? Because it sounds very familiar. hmmm.gif
