Agreed that it's highly unlikely.
I am really interested to find out where the footage of "For All We Know" originated -- you know, the blue background, fake clouds, the band guys sitting on white couches, Karen behind the drums in some orange and white funky outfit. I thought it was from "Make Your Own Kind of Music" but it's not. You can see a short clip on the PBS special CLOSE TO YOU: REMEMBERING THE CARPENTERS (while Petula Clark is talking about her first impression of Karen.) Anyhow, I have no idea where this was aired, if ever.
The other unreleased promo videos that I can think of are "I need to be in love" which has been circulated in various locations at various times
and, one that I've never seen, "Goodbye to Love", which I have only seen - of course- a small clip from the PBS special. As far as I know, they were shown at conventions and promotional venues, but not on television or home video at any time.
The others that you listed, I'm with you... I've seen live footage from concerts or the "Make Your Own Kind Of Music" special. There are some GREAT clips from MYOKOM that are never replicated anywhere else. They even performed some pre-contract Carpenters recordings for MYOKOM (which later appeared in audio format on the box set 'From the Top').

PV "I Need To Be In Love" was officially released in Japan. But Japanese release Region Free Gold doesn't have this song. Only Region 2.
Although Richard doesn't like this promo, he might have to give permission to A&M Japan because this song made boom in Japan.
If you make boom in the U.S., we may get Gold DVD 2.
I think A&M U.S. must edit compilation CD and get new fans.

This has always intrigued me - does anyone know just how much money in royalties we are talking here? I'm probably naive, but I've always thought this was just an excuse...
But maybe things are different in the US than in Britain - over here, the older the programme, the less money artists get in repeat/royalty fees. The Carpenters TV specials we want released are pretty old. In the UK actors accept lower repeat fees for their very old work than their newer stuff, because otherwise our TV channels would be flooded with cheap imported programmes. I think the actors figure that this way the programmes being shown are British-made and that their work has the chance to reach a new audience...

Thanks Karl. I haven't seen that one yet. Although I have seen other footage of Karen behind the drums performing "For All We Know". Which cracks me up because the drumming is all footwork.

Is the "For All We Know" from the Andy Williams Show available on DVD? I looked on the internet and it turned up "The Best of the Andy Williams Show: 1962-1971." Perhaps it's on there?
As for "Goodbye To Love," on the documentary, it shows a clip of "Goodbye to Love." Where is that from? Not the Live In Budokan part, but it's like Karen and Richard have lights going out of them and it's pink, and they look metallic. I'll try find a picture.

Well I think it works both sides of the Atlantic, because John Davidson is one of the main reasons that Music Music Music will not be released. He wanted a huge royalty for his performance of 'You'll Never Know' being included, even though he's a. not a singer and b. hasn't been on prime time telly for donkeys years. Which suits me fine, cos Richard's version was infinetely better anyway

Haha, yeah I thought that made her performance from behind the drums a bit silly, she doesn't touch them all the way through, apart from her feet

Agreed. Richard delivers one of his finest vocal performances in this one.

I really
Richard's 'You'll Never Know'.
Then how can you create video? Who? Matt? TBS?
Magical Top of the World for Chirstmas again?
Karen and someone(maybe Doug Strawn now?) are walking,
Richard now is singing beside them....

Magical Top Of The World is bogus. If you look at the part where Richard is talking in the beginning, you notice "Karen" standing on the stage swinging her arms with the dark screen in back of her. The real top of the world shows Karen sitting at the piano with Richard. How is this possible?

It's possible because the person you see from a distance is not Karen, but a stand in, to make it look authentic as Richard walks away from the camera

I had to check VHS which I recorded when it aired on TBS not NHK. (I usually watch copy of the VHS.) I couldn't see Karen's face. Karen swinging arms looks Karen to me, Karen holding up mic became to be another person to me.
