I wrote to richard on july 4th and I asked If I could have a autographed picture of him and around august 25 he wrote back 
and on that picture he wrote "thanks for the letter" I thought he would never write back maybe it takes some time for him to write back because he's sometimes busy.but It is a wonderful picture

he also wrote a nice short letter saying how much his music means to me is gratifiying and he also wrote how he and karen enjoyed nothing more than making music together.
