I was listining to linda ronstadt singing blue bayou and thought that would have been a good song for karen to have sung for her solo album.Does anyone know if karen and linda were admirers of each others music and if they ever met each other.

I just have to give a nod to Linda Ronstadt. I love Adios, I didn't get her for a long time and then she clicked.

On the roadode website (and probably elsewhere too) there is a clip of Karen at an awards ceremony (?Grammys? - I forget which) where she is presenting an award. One of the nominees whose name she reads out is Linda Ronstadt, so presumably Linda was at the ceremony. Therefore they may well have met! I was so focussed on Karen when I watched the clip that I can't remember which of the nominees won - maybe it was Linda!!!

After I typed my last post, I did have a feeling it was Linda who won! But if I remember rightly, the clip on roadode stops before Karen actually presents the award, doesn't it? Presumably Linda was there and did come up to receive the award, and therefore she and Karen did meet?

Maybe someone else has a more complete clip or it can be seen more fully on another website?
