Go to the InternetOptions.....delete all your cookies and internet history. And then when you still are in the Internetoptions find the option AutoComplete click that...... there now should be an option visible to delete all your cached passwords.
When you want to go real safe..... create another user....log in as that user.....start the explorer and go to the directory "document and settings" there you should see your old username probably "administrator" go into that directory and start looking for this directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
now you can totally delete the folder(s) internethistory and also the file index.dat.
But be sure to enable in map and folder options to view ALL files (hidden and system files). otherwise you won't be able to delete everything because you can't select hidden things.
Also when you are on it, delete also the content in the temp directory. (contains a lot of **** build up during the years)
But the best solution is to restore your PC with a system-restore-CD or restorepartion (if you still have that) only then you are absolutly sure everything is gone.
Good Luck !

I think you should just pass on your Carpenter-phile orientation to the next owner of your computer. Share the love....

There's really no need to unregister your account if you plan on signing up again. Clearing your cache/cookies as mentioned is enough. The best thing to do when you are selling your computer is buying software that wipes your computer clean. If a person knows their way around a computer, they can retrieve things off it even when everything is deleted. Not to scare you or anything. LOL But most people dont know how to do that so it's not an issue.
Anyway... they wont have a way into your account. But if you prefer your account to be deleted...just let me know and i can do that.

Likewise, I too was trying to figure out why one would want to un-register!
