I Love karen and all, but that outfit!
Looks like she put on a tablecloth and some hideous drapes.

Well Sakura,
There's always something *new* popping up - plus, the other photo thread was getting too long.
I still want to see Karen's personal photo albums - - hmm
wonder who has them? Richard & Mary? Frenda?

I love this picture!
I don't recall them wearing this in any of the TV cuts that I've seen... so I'm with Sakura... what did they do in these outfits?
Could it be that there's some footage on the cutting room floor?

Cool picture I havent seen before. Thanks so much! Man did Karen wear some "way out there" dresses back then. Did she or someone say that her Mom helped her pick out clothes in the beginning. Looks like they kept up with that tablecloth theme even in tv appearances. It's cute and really was a sign of the times... but just too proper.

The caption from the photo indicates they are waiting during takes for the show.
You can blame the wardrobe person on the show --I doubt they wore their own outfits.
Costume Designer Ret Turner
It WAS the early 70s -remember?

SEARS catalog - 1971 - things Karen would have worn @ age 21

God, I'm so gald I wasn't alive to see those hideous fashions.
Poor Karen wearing that dreadful combination. One should never, ever, ever, ever combine two different patters. That's a fashion law etched in stone.

Oh come on, they're not that bad.
In the Sears ad, I like what the lady on the far left is wearing, and the one on the far right, too...except that collar - it's a bit too out there.

I admit to loving these outfits... all of them... they are too awesome. But then again, most of my current wardrobe is polyester or some sort of synthetic blend.
My mum has some Sears catalogues from the early 1970's. A calculator back then sold for about $200.00 because they were so... technological.
