Make up a topic for Karen to sing about and title it! Like you've written the song !
One I have would be a ballad called, "The Best Of Today Is You". Wish we could hear music on this site.......!
A fun one I would write for her would be, "Happy "Bout Nothing!"

i have to say Karen singing "Long Road traveled" John Bettis would have written it just for karen. Karen begins..
It was only yesterday
I was young and niave
tHE world took me by surprise
and she sings about how love has come and gone
But the hardest lesson tol learn is loving herself.
This would be a hit 1990. This song wasnt a hit but became an instant classic. Karen opens the song at an anorexics foundation that Karen has founded. every year she visits teenage anorexia patients and performs this song to the young girls. at this point in her life, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, we see Karen as a true humanitarian! and karen would be attending college universities and talk about how deadly this diease is! and speak to teh fathers of young girls who call their daughters chubby! and Karen would cite the article from teh 1974 billboard article! However, realistically, I dont believe karen would be that direct and forward. But in summary, Long Road Traveled would replace her old Favorite "I need to be in love" the song would later be used to be in the TV movie about Tracy Gold..(If this was before 1990 with actress tracy gold, let it slide please! lol)

When I was going through your post I was thinking "Karen would become Tracy Gold!!"
I don't want Tracy Gold to go to jail

Pondering,...
a song called "As The Twight Fades" sung by Karen could be the reflection of and after a busy day of a music superstar with the concerns, dreams, needs of most people. The lyrics would interwine around that of her professional world and of her personal and human thoughts, hopes and dreams. Kind of a search for reason and stability in dueling realities.

I often think, "Oh, Karen would have sung that song SO much better." So, I basically think that way on many ballads I hear.
" One Last Cry" comes to mind. It was sung by Brian McKnight back in the 90's.
