Dear All!
The Carpenters GOLD/DVD that made #4 last week has dropped to #17 this week. I'm not too disappointed seeing as it is still in the Top 20. It was actually at number 21 in the midweeks so it did better!
The sales for this as of yesterday (March 12th) are: 126,954 copies. To make it go platinum, it needs to sell 300,000. Come on everybody - make the Carpenters sell another GREAT record.
Regards

I think the main reason why the Gold CD charted so high last week is because many people bought it as a Mothers Day present. There were amny other similar soft pop/rock music albums in the top 10 album chart last week. Universal also advertised the CD on TV which undoubtedly helped.

Mother's Day was on the 6th March in the UK. It's different all over the world.
