The Carpenters GOLD CD/DVD has gone UP from #17 to NUMBER 4!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's amazing!!!!! That's their highest charting album in the UK since 1990 when The Greatest Hits got to number 1!!!!!! I am so happy! It just shows how much their music is still having an imapct. It has been advertised on TV a lot so that must have helped.

I agree Paul... I mean after all... for all the criticism they received through the years about being bland or uncool or whatever... it's amazing that 23 years after Karen's death and after countless remixes and reissues and repackagings... that Carpenters music can still see this type of chart action.... and I think that's wonderful!!!

The internet is a big help in spreading it too....I've noticed that every time I search for their music or videos, there are more and more people that have them, which is great!! :lol:

I'll admit I wasn't a big Carpenter's fan back in the days when they were peaking, and although Karen is only 5 years older than I, I can't stop listening to the Carpenter's now. Karen's voice is enchanting. It may be difficult for other ppl who embrace other genre of music to admit they like the Carpenter's, and I like heavy metal, but I love Karen's voice and I do admit it. Happy Birthday! Karen...You are on Top of the World.
