 I was wondering if any Carpenters fans had met through this cool website & fallen in love?!I often wish that I could meet a fellow Carpenters fan, especially one from California & we could live happily ever after!I can often relate to Karen & the song "I Need To Be In Love" cos at 27 it feels like time's run out for me
Anyway this is making me depressed so I'll just post it & see if anyone has stories of true love!

Hello Rachel

Yes Randy and Ellie have got it together, I think we're over the moon about that, it's caused a bit of a celebratory buzz on here in the past few weeks! As for the rest of us, well, if you think about giving up at 27, try being 30  ! Lol.

And yes I also think someone would have to be that special kind of person to tolerate my obsession!

Well, I would LOVE to meet someone through here. I've just split from the girlfriend so if there are any 22 (or there abouts) year old women here - let me know!

 Simon

Well, as nice as it would be, it could never happen at least on this forum for me. finding one around my age that also likes the Carpenters????? This is gonna be too tough..... but since my Carpenters theme song is "Goodbye to Love" (I'm 28!) I'm not being too agressive on this forum... but its hopeful because it shows me there ARE men out there who are my age and like Karen.

If I dont find another Carpenters fan, the likelihood of naming my daughter after Karen shrinks! Good luck for everyone else on here to find their true love!!

Don't worry guys. You'll all meet someone eventually. the trick is to not be too fussy. It's unlikely that we'll find Carpenters fans like us. As long as they are kind, decent people then that's all that matters. That's all I hope for.

Hi Rachel,

I don't think you are running out of time! If it was a matter of time, then i'm in trouble too, i'll be 31 soon!! :o (And im freaking out, i freak out every year)
I think love has nothing to do with age, sex, religion, music taste, or books.
Of course, there are lucky people and they find true love, "the one", when they are very young, but some others have to wait, and that's alright too, because when you have to wait for true love, you appreciate it a lot more when it finally comes your way.
Take my mom for example, she looked for love in every corner of the world, literally, and she found it when she was 40, so i think there's hope.

There are a few straight guys here around the same age as you two. :P Stephen for one (you are straight ,...right?) :o
Rachel, perhaps you could post a pic. :D That might generate a few PM's.
Leanne, I have to echo Stephen's comments. On your photo you look GREAT and more importantly, it shows your sense of humour and personality. :D

It's happened once it can happen again. (Pamela, perhaps you should start charging a dating agency membership fee). :D :o

Love. . . look at the "lot" of us . . . :o . . . strangers in many ways

Hey y'all!!! LOVE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!! :)

It is worth the wait for the right one!!!

However, (mess around a little). . :o :D

Remember that love is really being "capable" of loving and being loved in return!!! All Carpenters are "capable." B)
