The Dating Game

So what was that business about Karen and Richard being on the Dating Game? Anyone seen the entire thing? I only saw clips on the E! special. The only thing I wonder about is how much Karen really wanted to be on that show and I would love to know where that guy is now who won the date to West Virginia with her. Did they really go and do you think Karen was comfortable with taking a trip with this guy? I would love to know what happened to her date? And who got to date Richard?
The whole idea of the game, winning a date and then going together somewhere seems kinda scary to me! Its a virtual stranger and must have been fun for the person who won a date with a famous person. But from what I sense about Karen, I am not sure if she was thrilled with going away with that guy.

Yes I saw the Entire thing, I'm about to post it in the other forum but its not too great quality. I remember reading on the board here someone saying that they didn't end up going on the date. And from Karen's expressions most of the time it didn't seem like she was too thrilled with any of them
And they had Richard do some rediculous things. Interesting show I must say.

HAHAHA. now that I've seen it (talk about instant gratification, Matt), I can see how Karen WOULD call it off. Judging by her reactions to the questions she had to ask, her facial expressions told all. And I couldn't help but wonder why they couldn't have chosen a better selection of men to choose from!! Not suitable and the 3rd bachelor sounded like a crackpot fan!
Karen is sure cute at this age! It was so funny when she had to make the choice, I thought "Well, I would have to pick #2 because his accent is the only thing going for him". Then I laughed cause Karen then said he chose him cause of his accent!!
I thought Richard did the best sexy recitation of the alphabet!

Leanne, if you want it, I can upload the full mpeg version to "yousendit.com" for you.
I found this particualarly embarrassing, because the winner was a slimy toad and not only was he English, he was from my home town of Brighton.
Mind you none of the contestants seemed able to make any coherant conversation.

I can't believe Rich and Karen went on that show! It was so excrutiatingly embarassing. Karen looked so awkward bless her. And that first guy! What a jerk! And the guy she chose from Brighton was putting on a Liverpudlian accent! Obviously trying to impress by talking like the Beatles. People from Brighton don't talk with that accent.
I also thought that Karen didn't look as pretty as she normally did on this show. I think it was her hair. It made her face and chin look too long.
The date sounded quite nice though. But I suppose she didn't have the time to go on it what with being so busy.
Do you think Rich and Karen got paid to go on here. I can't imagine why else they would have agreed to do it.

Karens look was her 1969 Offering period look very simular to the Ticket To Ride video which I did not particularly think was her best look. As for the show it was hokey and Karen did seem uncomfortable almost embarassed to be on the show I cant blame her those guys were duds so it was little wonder she called off the date that and her busy schedule made the date not possible. Close but no cigar.

Paul, people from Brighton wouldn't be caught DEAD with that scouse accent.
I guess he was living in Brighton at the time.

dvb that's hilarious!
Scousers is a nickname for people who come from Liverpool and we're just having a laugh at some of the stereotypical things they say and the way they would say it. Brookside was a soap opera set in Liverpool.
Other places in the UK have just as funny dialects, Scotland has 'och aye the noo' and Newcastle has things like 'aye, divven't push ya luck kidda'.
But then maybe I just confused you (and Karen?!) even further!
