What do you think Karen would have written if she was a song writer?? Did she ever try to write, or was she content to sing and play drums?? Just thinking....!

Doubt whether Karen attempted to compose songs as with Richard & John Bettis as she always referred to their songwriting partnership as unique for Carpenters
sound and projects
I wonder whether Karen worked on some drum / percussion instrumentals during her long career ....she was naturally talented and I am always surprised that Karen never had any instrumental composed credits on either albums or TV Specials and especially during Carpenter Jazz Trio period ....
Love Karen's instrumental solos for Live Palladium album and several Carpenters TV Specials ....just wish more were available .....hint ..hint to Richard as extras on
official website musical extras / downloads
Perhaps there are some Karen credits ....somewhere in the archives
Peter....Hopeful....

It would be great if Karen had written some songs. I think her style of writing would be similar to the lyrics of her favorite song "I need to be in love". She was depressed, and I think that these kinds of songs would have flowed out of her....had she been given the chance.
