Are their apartment complexes, Close To You and We've Only Just Begun, still being run? If so, does anybody know the contact information for them?

Jayne(whsoxfan) has been to California last month. Her pictures which include the apartments are at Gallery of LeadSister.

( I have heard that the Carpenter family sold the apartments many years ago.)

I also heard that they had been sold some years ago but I am not sure if they have.

$925 per month ....that slightly more than my current rent.....

Wonder how easy it would be to arrange a tenancy and the quality of apartments ....maintenance etc ....we could set up a Leadsister ....motel in Downey as various fans / family visit through the year

I'm actually relocating within Southern California, and thought that would be perfect for me. hehe (LA rent is outrageous). I called, and they said there were no apartments available.

Well, I think that is cheap. In Oslo, that amount of money would get you a rather moderate and small 1 bedroom appartement.

But I like the Motell idea
