I have thought about what I would say to Karen Carpenter many, many times since I learned of her death. I would probably just let history go the way it goes. Her death has saved many people. But please don't let my opinion change yours.

Don`t know if I would say all that much.
Think I would just hold her and give her a big and loving hug really.

Sadly, it is a fact that we are born and die at a particular time for a reason. I don't what these are but Karen was no exception.
She lived and graced the world with music, love and immense talent and died leaving a wonderful legacy to many. And God knows how many lives she saved. She paid the ultimate sacrifice.

I'd tell her that she's so beautiful, somehow I think she needed those words sometimes, I don't know! but I agree, I wouldn't change the story anyway But I'd be happy to tell her that

I'd say "I love you"

I'd bring a hypnotist and once she was under, I'd say, "Save yourself by choosing your own path and learn to say, 'Sod off' like Streisand would."

I would've said "You really look nice and any reviewer who says otherwise is an idiot and you should ignore stupid remarks.

I'd say, "Yo Karen. Can you sign my drumsticks?"
"And while you're at it, can you sing a few lines from "For All We Know."

and "I love love love you."

If I could step back into time I would say"Believe in yourself". No one else can do it for you....only you can save yourself". But, yet, I, too believe that she came into this world to teach us all many things and chose to have things go the way they did! She was a teacher in many,many ways!!

About the hug, I am usually a guy who likes to talk and say something but I have found that there are moments in life that a good, big hug can say more than 1000 words. Moments where a hug is just what you need to bounce back, to make it over that bump in the road. Words are great, but sometimes we just need a good hug and I think that is what Karen needed.

Well, I like to change history if I could.
I'd say "you'll die if you don't eat" to her in addition to "Yours is the voice that wakes me mornings and sends me out into the day."
Oh, I also wanna say"you are beautiful now matter waht they say!"

I'd like to write a letter to Karen. But I didn't know what I shoud say. I still don't know what I say.
I wish we could change history.

I would tell her that I love you and I think you are beautiful. I would also tell her that we really appreciate her music and to keep up the good work.
