Very cool video, but painfully odd that Godfrey came right out and said that they were going to lip-sync. Incidentally, it draws attention to perhaps Karen's only difficulty. She could never resist improvising on the drums, even when lip-syncing, resulting in her hitting some drums with no sound resulting.

Yes I thought that too. Plus he explains what lip-syncing is as though the audience is made up of five year olds
Nice to see though and great quality too. I'm thinking that the fact it had a time stamp running in the middle of the screen meant it was a recording from someone that worked at the TV studio.

Was she playing a house kit? I've never seen that drumset before. And notice how they didnt show Richard hardly. You know he just loved that! NOT! lol Thanks for sharing....

Not sure about the drum set, but I'd love to have one that color!

Beautiful video!! The guy could have set the volume much louder, I had to have my speakers touching my ears for a real listening but that's fine, it is worth it...
Why were those two old guys hosting a show called "Your All-American COLLEGE Show"???
And frankly, I don't really see why lip-synching would such a hard task, it seems pretty easy to me.

While the basics must seem very easy, I would imagine that it is also very easy to get caught out.
I don't see the point in it, unless someone is trying to cover for someone else that can't actually sing, which in Karen's case is obviously not true at all.
Would Karen have literally mimed or just sang very softly ?

I read that Karen did actually sing, but not have the mic turned on. I don't remember where I read that, though.

Yes, I've also read that Karen and Richard actually performed their songs in many instances when the studio recordings were being used. This seems to have been especially true for their TV show.

Well...how could she have played drums(you can see some hits from the cymbals) and not have been playing along??

Yes, that's the obvious part, but I mean the singing, too....
