Oh... sad!

Well, at least he had a hell of a musical life!!! I wish I had one before I'm dead myself!

He has two sons but the article doesn't say their ages.

I keep thinking, he died from a heart problem just like Karen did, even though the causes of it were different.

He has/had a facebook page that I never thought to look up before today. His wall is visible to "everyone". In March he wrote something about how he knew how much he was loved and that things come clear in time and God bless everyone...so I think he knew, at least by then if not sooner, that he didn't have much time left.

I'm picturing Karen waiting to meet him on the other side with big hug, and saying, "Bone! Thank goodness there's finally a great guitarist up here. Hey, isn't that heart thing a bitch?" blink.gif laugh.gif sad.gif

That's a really nice image and I had a similar picture in my head when I heard the news too !

Tony always came over in the documentaries about Karen as a really decent guy. He also never seemed to age when such footage was shown in such programmes from "back in the day". The poor chap was only 60 sad.gif

Still at least we know he is in good company ! smile.gif

Here's what he posted on March 21, for those of you who don't have facebook access...

"kinda need to let everyone here know just how much I know I have been loved and how much I love you all as well... things become more clear with time, ya'll...God bless each on eof your prayers to Him"

I didn't correct the typos. I felt I shouldn't mess with it.

And on May 31 he posted this on someone else's wall, in response to an invitation to a concert someplace in Mexico...

"Hey Mike I'll try!! does this mean you have the new tunes written?..keep in touch...Tony"

That's the last actual post written by him, though there are a couple of "is friends with..." notifications after that. So he was online just a few days before he died. huh.gif

Thanks for posting this, I don't have facebook.

His March 21st update does seem to hint that he knew something was wrong. I hope he went peacefully.

Thanks for posting. I never saw him on facebook, although I never really looked all that hard. Now I wish I did......

Tony Peluso was a humble, gifted musician, whose solos on "Goodbye to Love" were truly inspirational & groundbreaking. His musicianship is only outshined by what seems to be a generous, happy spirit. Just look at the emotion he put into his playing!

RIP

I was really shocked and sorry to hear the news. His biggest claim to fame is his performance on the first power ballad, "Goodbye to Love".

Here's a link to an article that has a more recent picture of Tony. If you click on the link there that says "Read the full Spinner report", you'll see that the comments people have left are very nice ones.
