Como Medley Question

In "Magic Moments" in the Carpenters/Como Medley, the line "The way that we hugged to try to keep warm while taking a sleigh ride" becomes "I wish you'd forget that you ever heard me sing of a sleigh ride." Anyone know the story behind this change? Did Como not like that song?
