Carpenters' Songs With A Single Vocal

whoserman's Photo whoserman 23 Apr 2010

Here's a fun brainteaser. Besides instrumentals, how many Carpenters' tracks can we think of that have no overdubbing or choir? Any with just a single Karen or Richard? I can think of only three at the moment.

I remember thinking this about one of their songs as it played, that it was so unusual, but I can't recall which one.... hmmm.gif

Good call on the Aurora/Eventide.

I'll give a hint. One of them is almost a cheat, because although it was released, it was recorded for a TV show, not an album.

More good calls. There's also "From This Moment On", and "O Come O Come Emmanuel."

I forgot about those! They were noted for their beautiful "lush" sound that it's hard to thing of songs where there wasn't overdubbing or choir behind them!
