Hearing Carpenter's.

I was in a local K'Mart today and heard Karen start to sing "Top Of The World" It was soooo cool...I wanted to run around the store and say..."Did you hear that???"

I hardly ever hear them in stores...except at Christmas, so I was thrilled!!!!

There's an AM station locally that plays the Carpenters, and I have also been catching them on two or three different satelite radio stations.

For All We Know and Sing were played this morning around . I was still sleeping
at that time so i tried to sing while I was falling asleep...On days I have no uni my waking up time is at 10:00-10:30 am...But it was so nice to hear them

Been listening to my Dec 31 1973 CKLW aircheck, hearing them all the time.
"Top of the world" was #8 that week. (Down from #4 the week before)

They used to say the Carpenters were not cool!! Being included in a Simon Cowell documentary must be the height of modern day super coolness.

As someone that has been lucky enough to be able to play the music of "The Carpenters" on the radio, I can vouch for the fact that it is a real pleasure.
I've always tried to play something that doesn't get heard that often, such as tracks from the solo album. Although Carpenters records do still get a reasonable amount of air-time, it tends to be the same couple of tracks (mainly Close To You or We've Only Just begun) beng played on stations like Magic 105.4 (a London station).
