Hi From Austria !

Hello evrybody,
i`m from Austria,male,35,my real name is Wilfried so i simply chose Will.
I discovered The Carpenters quite a while ago on a weekly Oldies-radio-program.
This program had really nice 60es and 70es music,liked it a lot.
But then i heard “this voice” and it was something completely different,you were FORCED
to stop eating or reading or whatever you did before “this voice” APPEARED,it was....how can i put it...it was a difference like between driving and flying !!
The DJ of this program didn`t feel the need to tell the listeners the name of the interprets very frequently,so i heard about 4 or 5 titles of “this voice” (in a span of approx.3 months),before he finally said:”You just heard XY by Karen and Richard Carpenter”.
Well,then i found out that “Karen Carpenter”sadly has left us long ago.
But i didn`t want to gather more information at this point.I just listened with eyes closed lol.
To a certain extent today i miss the sweet innocence of this early stage of my Carpenters-Fandome,not knowing anything about things like Anorexia,siblings rivalry,Agnes,the difficult side of Karens character,different versions,remixes etc etc...
But eventually my curiosity got stronger and stronger and i started to buy books,DVDs,watch YouTube and... *drum roll* discovered Leadsister !!!
I listen to all kinds of music(well almost lol)
What i`d like to point out about Carpenters-music is that it is very ambitious and very very profound.The “Easy Listening”-label doesn`t do them justice at all !
People who mock them are morons !!!
To keep this short,about me i`ll just say that i haven`t been on any Internet-forum for 3 yrs,but with this board i had the feeling “it doesn`t get better than that”lol! So here i am now lol.
I have ideas for about 50 threads.But i feel after i have checked out what has already been done in the long history of LS,at best 5 will remain lol.

Ohhhh....I'm pretty late but since you are from Austria I thought I will take the chance to say HELLOOOOOOO!
Where in Austria do you live if you don't mind me asking. Yeah I'm curious ;-)

It really depends on 3 or 4 ppl,you know.I`m not for evrybody.One either likes or dislikes me,nothing in between lol.
If these 3 or 4 ppl who make me feel alive,stay(and i avoid “giving too much”so that it`ll frighten them off !)i`ll stay,too.Otherwise:”Maybe not”(Suzanne Somers)lol.
