ANGELIC, UNFORGETTAGLE, ETERNAL...

March 2nd, 2010

On this date six decades ago, the world welcomed the incomparable Karen Carpenter. Her matchless voice touched the lives of millions, and she continues to inspire people from all walks of life. May you always be at peace Karen, and may you always be beautiful. This is a better place for you having been here, and you will never be forgotten. You will forever be our Karen Carpenter...

It's great that Karen lived and left us with such a fantastic legacy, but so sad that she has been gone almost for as long as she was with us......

 • Interests:Well, here we go.......

I am into: The Carpenters, of course. Photography, (And I am good, really good *grin*), Traveling, Working on my car, working on my house, Home Theater, volunteering at the local elementary school (I am working on my Elementary Education Degree)

I am also finally fulfilling a lifelong ambition and taking up the drums. I can usually be found syncopating with my hands, thumbs, fingers or even knees to whatever is being played. I don't know if I will be a "natural", but it sure as heck feels natural to me. I guess as Karen would say, "What lies in the future is a mystery to us all.....," and I think this describes my future behind the kit as well. We shall see, right now it is all a mys-ter-y.

I collect...........*everything*....lol. I jump around. In the past few years I have collected: Carpenters memoribilia, Disneyana, Dennis Mukai prints and Ohio State Buckeye memoribilia.

And to complete the "Let's revisit my childhood" obsession, I also collect/have collected: Hot Wheels, Comic Books (Spiderman and Fantastic Four) and Baseball cards.

Curiously, she calls *me*, her "better half."

She's a little confused.

Wow, you're right.

Still, the memories of the C's breaking big is still so fresh/vivid for me.
